Hey! My name is Bobby and this is my first blog dedicated to Hockey and Gays, and mostly both of them together. I created this blog for the sole purpose of reaching out to other gay hockey fans, or just hockey fans in general. By creating this blog I hope I can spread the word that yes, even gay men and women enjoy hockey! As of today there has never been an openly gay hockey player in the NHL either retired or still currently playing. Now I know having this blog won’t change that but it’s not going to hurt it either!!
As for me I’m a 23 year old college student in the DFW area of Texas, I graduated in May 2010 with my degree and now I’m pursuing another degree in Nursing. Although I have never played Hockey, due to my horrible skating ability, it is still my all time favorite sport! It is the only sport I enjoy watching and the only one I regularly follow. Now as for my favorite team, and the one I will follow the most, it is the Dallas Stars!!! As for my favorite player currently on the Stars that would have to be Jamie Benn #14! He is one of the few players in the NHL who truly work their ass off to get to that puck!!
As far as the content of my blog will go, it will mostly be game updates, player transactions, and other important hockey news. From time to time I will put other things that don’t necessarily revolve around Hockey but for the most part it will. So hope you enjoy my blog and feel free to comment and let me know what you think! Haha, so that’s how it’s gonna be!! Well if it helps I was rooting for the Blackhawks last year…but now the Stars may actually make the playoffs so my allegiance goes to them, lol!
