So last nights game was amazing!!!  Not only did the Stars beat the Wild 4 – 0, but also Jamie Benn scored 2 of the goals!!!  The first shot of the game came within minutes and was shot by none other than the player of the month Trevor Daley!  The second shot came in the last-minute of the 1st period and was shot by Jamie Benn!!  The third shot of the game occurred in the last period by James Neal, with a really impressive shot where he kind of did this spin thing and drove the puck in the net.  The final shot of the game also came in the final period and was yet again scored by Jamie Benn!!

The game was pretty exciting mostly because the Stars were kicking ass!!  And Andrew Raycroft did a really impressive job with stopping all the shots that the Wild gave him.

It was also Jamie Langenbrunner’s first game back with the Stars since 2002…he came out and did his thing.  He had a few shots on goal and skated really well on the new third line.  But…he was still upstaged by the younger (better looking) Jamie on the team!  Still you have to give the man his credit he was traded to his old team less than a week ago and came out last night playing pretty damn well!

Langenbrunner making his first shot of the season…with the Stars, haha!

Benn scoring his first game of the night!!

So to end this post the one thing that is pretty funny is that now the Stars have a 7 game winning streak on the road…but they have lost the past couple of home games.  Just kind of funny because normally it is the other way around!

So I know it has been a longtime since I have updated my blog and that’s because of a lot of reasons but mostly because up until a few weeks ago the Stars were not even playing.  But now that has all changed because now we are starting a brand new season!!!  So as it stands now the Stars have won 6 out of their 10 games…which is pretty good considering the past two seasons.  Hopefully the Stars only get better from here on out!

So I thought I would talk about how the new player roster is going to help the Stars make the playoff’s this year!

Kari Lehtonen – So I know technically he isn’t new but this is his first season as the starting goalie, and lets face it he is kicking major ass in the net!  So far Lehtonen has been doing a fantastic job considering that the Stars defense is pretty much crapping out so far.  I think Lehtonen is going to be a huge asset to the Stars if they hope to make the playoffs this year!!

Adam Burish -This trade came as a it of surprise to me, for those of you who don’t know Burish he spent the last 4 seasons playing for the Chicago Blackhawks.  So he is a Stanley Cup player…so why did Chicago let him be a free agent and not offer him a deal??  Well my theory is even though Burish is a fan favorite he wasn’t playing all that well last season only playing 18 games in regular season and only scoring 1 goal.  So now Dallas has him and he will be a good asset because he is a pretty good enforcer and will be able to give Ott some competition!  Plus in the 10 games he has played with the Stars he has already scored a goal, so hopefully he will help us get to the playoffs!

Andrew Raycroft – Now Raycroft has been traded around a couple times recently, he has played for the Bruins, Maple Leafs, Avalanche, and the Canucks.  So is this a good deal for the Stars…well considering he is a back-up goalie I don’t really see the problem with having him on the team.  As long as Kari Lehtonen keeps up his game I think we should be good to go!

So there you have the three newly signed players for the Stars, now this doesn’t mean that some random players from the AHL wont be playing a few games here and there but as of now these are the new players on active play!

Well this is my first post of the season and hopefully I will be able to update more frequently in the next couple of weeks, anyway great to be back!!
